The Ukhaa Khudag mine meets its 2010 production plan

Energy Resources successfully met its plan to produce 3.8 million tonnes of coal in 2010 ahead of schedule, within the year. Specifically, as at 10 December 2010 the figure showed the plan had been fully met.

The Company’s Chief Executive Officer, G. Battsengel, said of this: last year, in 2009, our Company successfully met a plan to produce 1.8 million tonnes of coal, and this year we met ahead of schedule a plan that doubled last year’s figure, achieving the goal we had set. For next year we have set a target of bringing the production plan to 7 million tonnes. Given that monthly production at the mine reached an average of 400,000 tonnes between May and December this year, we believe we can work to plan in 2011 as well.

Within the Ukhaa Khudag mine project, work on the coal washing plant, power plant, water supply and road projects that will be commissioned and begin operating next year is being delivered successfully to schedule.
