A proud achievement by teachers and pupils of the Tsogttsetsii soum secondary school

Under the cooperation between Energy Resources and the secondary school of Tsogttsetsii soum, Umnugobi aimag, the English teacher D. Nasandooyo and the mathematics teacher D.

Oyuntuya have been invited to teach in Tsogttsetsii soum in order to improve the quality of teaching at the school and strengthen the curriculum. In recent times the quality of teaching among the teachers and pupils of the Tsogttsetsii soum school has improved noticeably, and they have begun achieving strong results in national olympiads and competitions.

For example, at the subject olympiad of Umnugobi aimag (the second round of the national olympiad) the Tsogttsetsii soum school won a team gold medal, raising the soum’s name high, and last month it also achieved outstanding results at the foreign language festival named after MP Bayarsaikhan. In the English category, of around 200 pupils in year 8 who took part, S. Otgonbayar of class 8c of the Tsogttsetsii soum 12-year secondary school with advanced English took first place and a gold medal; Temuujin of class 5a took second place and a silver medal; and G. Gandiimaa of class 8c took eighth place, while A. Urangoo of year 7 also took eighth place in her age group, with awards presented to each. The Tsogttsetsii soum 12-year secondary school with advanced English was also named Creative Team in the category for English teaching, methodology and teaching materials and, on overall results, the most active participating team in the festival. The school’s management and teachers highlighted that this success is the result of Energy Resources’ policy of supporting local education and of the tireless effort of the whole school team.
