Energy Resources LLC named the socially responsible company of 2011
Energy Resources took part successfully in the “Let us declare our social responsibility publicly 2011” selection, organised jointly by the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions, the newspaper Khudulmur, the MNCCI, the Mongolian Employers’ Federation and the General Department of Taxation, and took first place.
Judged by a professional commission against a total of 47 criteria on social responsibility, this event is distinctive as a national selection independent of any political or financial influence and based on balanced assessment.
Second and third places in the selection went to Khan Bank and Baganuur JSC respectively. Under its social responsibility policy, Energy Resources has implemented step by step measures to support the country’s social and economic development and local sustainable development. In 2011 the Company carried out a great deal of creative work in social responsibility, including paying particular attention to the social needs of its employees, opening up the opportunity for workers to live and work with their families in comfortable conditions and to give their children a quality education, and making substantial investment in social infrastructure.
Energy Resources has also been selected as the enterprise that created the most jobs nationwide over the course of the year, within the Year of Supporting Employment declared by the Government of Mongolia.
