Energy Resources highly rated internationally for social responsibility

Of the more than 100 companies worldwide nominated this year in the Global CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) awards, the Mongolian mining company Energy Resources LLC reached the final stage and became one of the TOP 6 participants alongside Standard Chartered Bank, Procter & Gamble, FedEx, DHL and Huawei.

The companies selected in the top six of the awards:

  • Standard Chartered Bank
  • Procter & Gamble
  • FedEx
  • Energy Resources LLC
  • DHL
  • Huawei

The most notable feature is that a Mongolian company achieved such a high result on its first participation in this prestigious selection, in which multinational corporations with rich experience and long histories in social responsibility compete. Moreover, the fact that Mongolia’s Energy Resources LLC was selected and highly rated on the same level as companies with histories spanning decades and centuries that operate at multinational scale is proof that the leading Mongolian companies are building capacity to a level that can compete globally.

Behind corporate social responsibility lie many important factors: the company’s sound management policy, planning and decision-making, and its contribution to the country’s society and economy. From the day it was founded, Energy Resources LLC has attached great importance to social responsibility and worked consistently, and as a result it has now brought Mongolia’s name to a global selection. The Company was founded as a joint investment by national companies including MCS, Petrovis and Shunkhlai, and operates at the Ukhaa Khudag coal mine in Tsogttsetsii soum, Umnugobi aimag.
