In this selection, held annually by the Government of Mongolia and the MNCCI, first place went to the state-owned Erdenet Mining Corporation, followed by the MCS Group, Petrovis LLC, Energy Resources LLC and Nomin Holding LLC, which made up the top five. The selection is based mainly on the amount of tax paid to the state, together with many other criteria such as employment, corporate social responsibility and work carried out in environmentally friendly technology.

Since it was founded in 2009, Energy Resources LLC has contributed around ₮400 billion to the state budget and has worked actively with more than 700 national enterprises, and it has now been in the TOP 5 of this prestigious selection for three consecutive years.
