Erdenet Mining Corporation led the list with ₮2,093.4 billion, followed by Oyu Tolgoi with ₮493.5 billion, APU with ₮442.4 billion, Energy Resources LLC with ₮327.9 billion and Mongolyn Alt (MAK) Corporation with ₮326.6 billion — placing them in the top five. In other words, the ten companies in the top ten of the list account for the greater part of the country’s total budget revenue.

The fourth place on the list is the tax figure for Energy Resources LLC alone (₮327.9 billion) and does not include tax paid by its subsidiaries. Energy Resources LLC operates with a total of eight subsidiaries. Of these, subsidiaries such as Energy Resources Mining (20th on the list, ₮63.6 billion) and Transgobi (73rd on the list, ₮10.5 billion) appear separately in the TOP 100. Taking the tax paid to the state at group level — that is, by all the subsidiaries together — Energy Resources contributed more than ₮660 billion to the state and local budgets over the past five years, in 2010–2014.
