The Ukhaa Khudag mine training centre is expanded
The training centre at the Ukhaa Khudag mine has been expanded, its teaching materials and equipment renewed, and has opened its doors afresh.
The centre’s highly qualified instructors are responsible for developing the skills of the Company’s employees and giving them new qualifications, and are training many young people as heavy machinery operators, mechanics and electricians. The centre also provides occupational safety training and briefings for employees and for visitors to the mine. This training is delivered under a licence from the Ministry of Labour and, in the first nine months of 2017 alone, more than 6,100 people took part in occupational safety training. In addition, in 2017 training courses to prepare dump truck operators were organised to give local residents qualifications, with more than 100 people taking part
