By decision of the MNCCI Presidium, Energy Resources’ contribution to society and the economy was highly rated, and the Company was named Outstanding Enterprise of the Year for 2017 and presented with the Silver Mercury award. In 2017 Energy Resources contributed ₮59 billion in taxes and contributions to the state budget and worked to increase the product output of Mongolia’s first coal washing plant at Ukhaa Khudag. Over the same period it invested ₮18.5 billion in renewing the technology of the mine and its associated equipment and created around 560 new jobs — achievements that made it the winner of the Outstanding Enterprise of the Year award.
