In 2017 the Company mined a total of 8.3 million tonnes of coal, washed 8 million tonnes and produced a total of 4 million tonnes of washed coking coal products. It also exported 3.6 million tonnes of washed coal products. Comparing the annual figures with the same period in 2016, coal production rose by 179%, coal washing by 166% and product exports by 132%.

Energy Resources is currently the only enterprise in Mongolia that processes coal domestically, rather than exporting it raw, and exports it as a washed product. Washing and processing coking coal not only adds value domestically but also increases the value of Mongolian coal and coal products and their competitiveness on foreign markets.
