In the festival, 128 wrestlers with national, aimag and soum titles, 32 junior wrestlers and 32 wrestlers representing Energy Resources employees competed; in the main wrestling, National Falcon Sh. Darkhanbat came first and National Lion D. Gankhuyag was runner-up. In the junior wrestling, O. Burenbat of Saintsagaan soum, Dundgobi aimag, came first and B. Myagmarbayar, a pupil from Tsogttsetsii soum, was runner-up, while in the employees’ wrestling B. Batbold, a driver in the transport team of Energy Resources, came first and N. Amartuvshin, a heavy-duty vehicle driver at the same company, was runner-up, to the delight of the crowd.

In the national archery, 101 highly ranked archers with national and aimag titles and 32 junior archers took part. In the men’s adult category, the aimag’s Marksman and Master of Sport E. Batsukh came first; in the women’s adult category, Candidate Master of Sport Kh. Davaatsetseg; among the junior male archers, T. Khash-Erdene; and among the junior female archers, A. Ariun-Erdene, to the delight of the crowd.

In the horse racing, 309 fast horses in nine age categories from 12 aimags competed. Among the crossbred horses, in the senior category the bay of trainer B. Togtokh from Tsogttsetsii soum, Umnugobi aimag, came first; in the middle category the bay of trainer G. Batnyam from Manlai soum, Umnugobi aimag; and in the junior category the star-marked bay of trainer D. Enkhmend from Buren soum, Tuv aimag. In the stallion race the chestnut of trainer E. Erdene-Ochir from Tsogttsetsii soum, Umnugobi aimag, came first; among the older horses, the blazed chestnut of Ts. Baasandorj from Zuunkhangai soum, Uvs aimag; among the five-year-olds, the brown of trainer B. Shagdarjav from Altanbulag soum, Tuv aimag; among the four-year-olds, the dun of trainer E. Bat-Erdene from Dalanzadgad soum, Umnugobi aimag; among the three-year-olds, the bay of trainer Ts. Uuganbayar from Bayan-Ovoo soum, Umnugobi aimag; and among the two-year-olds, the dark dun colt of trainer O. Nergui from Tsogttsetsii soum, Umnugobi aimag — bringing joy to their trainers, the crowd and the young riders.

In the anklebone shooting, 216 shooters from 27 teams with national, aimag and soum titles competed. In the team event, the team of Mongolia’s Marksman Ch. Buyanjargal took first place, while in the individual finger-shot event the aimag’s Outstanding Marksman A. Gombo of Dundgobi aimag came first, and in the individual gun-shot event Honoured Archer of Mongolia D. Shinekhuu of Noyon soum, Umnugobi aimag, came first, to the delight of the crowd.
