Through the project, the pristine nature of the Mongolian Gobi and the story of rare wild animals whose names are all most of us know will become five special television series, each presented by a well-known figure from a different field. The presenting team includes:

• B. Batchuluun, leader of the band Nikiton, State Honoured Artist
• S. Tsogtbayar, cartoonist, Honoured Cultural Figure
• B. Gangaamaa, mountaineer, Master of Sport of Mongolia
• G. Ayurzana, writer and poet, Honoured Cultural Figure
• T. Barkhuu, actor and producer, Leading Cultural Worker.

The new series will be made to a high standard, meeting international norms in quality, production and content, and as part of this all of the Khureelen project’s camera, sound and video equipment will be fully renewed. The Khureelen project is marking its fifth anniversary of bringing series on Mongolia’s wild nature and living world to viewers. Energy Resources, meanwhile, is marking its 10th anniversary of operations in the South Gobi this year. As part of that it is launching long-term projects directed at society and public education, and the Five Wonders of the Gobi project is the first major undertaking. The project team highlighted that this is about embedding the idea of corporate social responsibility in Mongolia and beginning long-term cooperation that brings real benefit to society, rather than one-off donations and aid.
