Energy Resources has been named winner of the National Quality Award, which is presented on that occasion.

In 2018 the Ukhaa Khudag mine of Energy Resources became the first in Mongolia’s mining sector to implement the international ISO standards for occupational safety, the environment and quality management as an integrated system, and formally received its certification from the standardization firm Afnor of France. This has been a major step forward in improving occupational safety in mining and in quality management and productivity.

The National Quality Award is a purely professional selection based on operational standards, and 2018 is the fourth year it has been presented.

It is encouraging that Mongolian enterprises are implementing international ISO standards in their operations, that their products and services are meeting global norms and that quality and safety criteria are rising. A domestic company that wins the National Quality Award may go on to take part in the regional and global quality award selections.
