Under the campaign, companies’ responsibility will be assessed across five main groups of objectives. These include labour relations and the right to work, occupational safety and health, environmental protection, and community development and public participation. The companies will also follow good practice in responsible mining, embed it in the sector in practical terms, and work together for the sustainable development of the sector.

To date, Energy Resources LLC, Erdenet Mining Corporation SOE, Oyu Tolgoi LLC, Baganuur LLC, Aspire Mining LLC, SouthGobi Sands LLC and Terra Energy LLC have joined the initiative. Other mining companies are welcome to support the initiative, unite for responsibility, say no to irresponsible mining and work together to embed responsibility in Mongolia’s mining sector.
