The 3X3 “Ukhaa Khudag” league crowns its champions
The 3x3 basketball “Ukhaa Khudag” league, which ran for a full 37 days and involved more than 340 young people from 3 soums of Umnugobi aimag and 7 companies, concluded last week with its champions crowned.
In the men’s event of the “Ukhaa Khudag” league:
- 1st place: Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy
- 2nd place: Energy Resources
- 3rd place: Erch Mining
In the women’s event:
- 1st place: Mongolian national 3x3 team
- 2nd place: Erch Mining
- 3rd place: Khanbogd soum
This tournament, organised on the initiative of the Gobi Miners NGO, is important because it contributes ranking points towards Mongolia’s qualification for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in 3x3 basketball. Our young players are confident that the moment when Mongolians succeed in a team sport at the Olympics is close!
