20,000 tonnes of washed coal to be supplied free of charge at the request of Dalanzadgad
At the request of the authorities of Dalanzadgad, Energy Resources will supply 20,000 tonnes of washed thermal coal free of charge for the winter needs of the town’s residents, and a cooperation agreement has been signed.
The Governor of Dalanzadgad soum and Mayor of the town, Kh. Batbold, who put forward the initiative, said: “Thank you to everyone at Energy Resources for giving real support to the work we initiated to reduce air pollution in Dalanzadgad, cut ash and waste and support our residents. This means the Company is saving our residents more than two billion tugriks out of their own pockets. For our part we also support this work, which is being carried out as part of social responsibility, and the local budget will cover the cost of transport from the mine to Dalanzadgad.”
We are confident that the washed coal, produced by the labour of our miners, will help to replace the use of raw coal in the aimag centre and contribute to the goal of a “smoke-free Dalanzadgad”.
